Transform Sports is proud to offer professional training programs to elite athletes. All of our programs are at least two months long, combining gym sessions, on-ice development, rehabilitation and educational seminars to create a well-rounded athlete. Programs are run out of our brand new state-of-the-art, Performance Centre, conveniently located near Uptown Mall in Victoria.
Transforms Director Adam Geric uses the most up to date training techniques to bring elite athletes to their peak performance state. Emphasizing optimal mental performance along with proper periodization ensures athletes get the most out of every session. Matching training volumes with individual goals guarantees that players are always ready to perform at the most important times of the season. Focusing on mobility and functional movements, injury prevention is a priority for all Transform athletes.

MEET ADAM
My name is Adam Geric and I am a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist in Victoria, BC. Growing up in Victoria I started as a multi-sport athlete until my love and passion for hockey took over and continued to grow from there. Starting my junior hockey career, I played in the Western Hockey League (WHL) for the Saskatoon Blades.
Following my career in the WHL, I decided to further my education by attending Griffith University to study Exercise Science, while playing professionally in the AIHL. While playing in Australia and representing the country at the IIHF World Championships, I had the ambition to become a Strength and Conditioning Coach to share my knowledge and experience with future athletes.

After being awarded Bachelor Degrees in both Exercise Science and Sport Management, Adam became a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). He has always been fascinated with the science of training and has become an expert in the field.
Taking a holistic approach and combining my knowledge with years of playing and coaching experience, Adam has developed the skills to TRANSFORM you into the athlete you aspire to be.

MEET CHRIS
Chris Phillips was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and hockey has always been a huge part of his life. He played minor hockey for 15 years and really enjoyed the off ice training aspect of hockey, which fuelled his interest in health and fitness. In 2013, he started working as a Strength and Conditioning coach and gained hands-on experience and education while working with some of the top hockey trainers in Saskatchewan in how to help athletes perform at their best. He has experience working with a range of athletes, from young kids to professional athletes .
Moving to Victoria in 2017, a casual interest in Yoga turned into a passion and in the summer of 2019, he took 500 hours of Yoga Teacher Training. Since then, he has made it a key part of what he offers to the people he works with.
After joining the TRANSFORM team in October of 2020, he has felt right at home and has been able to collaborate with Adam in a supportive way to elevate the training and build a strong community environment within Transform Sports.
MEET LEAH
Leah is our new academic coordinator at Transform Hockey Academy. Leah is new to the Island and came from Ottawa, ON. Leah was a dual sport athlete and understands the importance of being able to properly balance both academics and athletics. In high school, Leah played hockey for the Ottawa Lady Senators in the PWHL and soccer for the Ottawa Fury. Leah went on to play collegiate soccer while she received her degree in Child and Youth Studies and a diploma in Developmental Service Worker. She has spent the last 4 years in education and has a passion for working with student-athletes and preparing them for the next level. Leah is currently studying her Master’s of Counselling Psychology where she plans to work primarily with adolescent athletes. Leah also coaches for the Vancouver Island Wave and is excited to work with many athletes over the next year balancing academics, athletics, and youth mental health.
MEET TYLER
Tyler was born and raised in Nanaimo, B.C., and is a recent graduate of Vancouver Island University with a Bachelors of Kinesiology Degree. Through his experience thus far in the strength and conditioning field, he has constructed and coached a wide range of training programs and periodization's for athletes from youth ages focusing on foundational movement patterns and development, to University Varsity athletes and NHL Prospects, putting a sharp emphasis on sport specific movement skills, strength & speed workouts. He has always had a deep interest in a variety of sports, specifically baseball which he played for 14 years and hockey for 4. He believes there is more to learn about oneself in sport than just how to play, such as leadership, and teamwork skills including communication, dealing with conflicts, and goal setting. He hopes to encourage the next generation of athletes to get the most out of being in the sports environment, in and out of the gym and or on the field, court or ice.
MEET MEADOW
Meadow is a proud Transform athlete for the past 5 years as well as a staff member since September 2020. Meadow has taken on the roll of administrative assistant as well as facility maintenance and bookkeeper for Transform. Meadow is primarily responsible for bookkeeping, website updates, and other administrative duties. She currently attends Reynolds Secondary School as part of the French Immersion program. Meadow has grown up with a passion for sports. She was a competitive swimmer with Pacific Coast Swimming for multiple years and played competitive Volleyball with Momentum Volley as well as her school team. Meadow is proud to be part of the Transform family and is excited to continue developing her life and fitness goals for many years to come.
